THE NEXT STEPS FOR PEGASAUS PARK

In the last few years, we’ve made a lot of adjustments to create a more sustainable place to work. But we don’t stop here. We will continue our efforts and will make sure we achieve our goal to reduce Pegasus Park’s CO2 emissions by 40% by the year 2030. This is how we’ll do that:

Our efforts, your future

We’ve already taken several measures to reduce water consumption, minimalise waste and enhance Pegasus Park’s biodiversity. On top of that, we continue our focus on energy-saving actions such as installing LED lights with motion detection and implementing a new Building Management System with AI software for smarter technical installations. Our goal is to receive a BREEAM Very Good Score for all buildings within the next two years.

Of course, the ‘social’ aspect of the ESG’s is equally important to us. By offering tenants a wide range of communal services and facilities, we encourage people to engage with one another. Team sports, shared working spaces, outdoor areas and multiple events bring people together.

FAQ

  • What is ‘ESG’?

ESG stands for Environmental, Social and Governance. It’s a framework that helps business leaders tackle environmental and social issues when governing their company. Companies implement the ESG’s in their strategy as a way to create value for stakeholders while taking environmental and social aspects into account. The ESG’s are a way to work towards sustainable entrepreneurship and make companies accountable for their actions.

  • Why is ESG so important?

The ESG’s force companies to not just think about profit, but also consider the impact they have on the planet. As our world changes rapidly in many ways, the ESG’s are a guiding tool to deal with these changes in an effective manner. This framework helps companies work towards a more sustainable future for their company. In the European Union, it’s mandatory for publicly traded companies to release a yearly sustainability report. The ESG pillars are the framework for these reports.

  • What are the benefits for companies when implementing an ESG mindset?

People don’t want to work for any organisation or buy from just any company anymore. They do their research: what’s this company’s purpose? How do they handle social issues? What part do they play in environmental changes? As stakeholders have become more conscious of the importance of taking action, implementing ESG in your strategy and sharing data about your initiatives gives you an advantage. Consumers are more and more willing to pay a little extra for environmentally friendly products and employees who work for an ESG minded company feel more purpose when doing their job.

  • How does ESG affect relationships with employees, clients or partners?

Sharing your ESG initiatives will strengthen the relationship with your stakeholders. You’ll get the customers and the best talents to join your mission. ESG initiatives also attract partners or investors. They know that sustainable entrepreneurship is the only way to go in the near future, so they’ll be happy to do business with a company who works with the ESG framework.
